It’s been a busy time, so I figured it’s time for an update. FWA back in April proved to be a lot of fun, although doing six writing panels was a bit much. The dystopia anthology I am edited closed on May 1st and Slip Wolf and I have been going through the slush pile since then. I’m aiming to get the acceptance and rejection notifications out by the end of June or early July.
I wanted it to be sooner, but I had to get a piece ready for RAWR, the Regional Anthropomorphic Writers Retreat. I am deeply honored to be accepted as part of the 2017 class. For those who don’t know, this is a week long retreat with other writers critiquing and discussing each other’s work hosted by Kyell. I’m really looking forward to this, and I hope to learn a lot while I’m there.
And if going to RAWR wasn’t a big enough deal, I had a story come out this month in Werewolves vs. Fascism! I’m quite fond of this piece, “Old Friends Not Forgotten,” so I recommend everyone pick up the book. All proceeds from the sale of the book benefit The Southern Poverty Law Center.
As a final note, my next con will be Anthrocon, I should have two stories that will be out at AC. I’ll post about that once I know what writing panels I’ll be on at the con.
